DESCRIPTION: 

Here we have a VERY popular weapon made by A&K, The M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon)
The SAW is designed to be a support weapon that will lay down suppressive fire to cover your teammates
when you are attacking an objective, defending, or when you have been pinned down and need to break out.

The construction of this weapon is impeccable - the body is made from a mixture of steel, aluminium and polymer
meaning it is incredibly durable and will be able to withstand the general wear and tear of the battlefield with no
problem, the integrated bipod is of a nice quality and folds into place very securely. The barrel assembly and sight
post are both incredibly strong; However - the carry handle is NOT strong enough to support the weight of the weapon
when running around, so if you intend to carry the weapon via the carry handle then ensure you support it from the
pistol grip.

The front handguard and stock are both made from a very high quality polymer, this is solid and weighty and feels very
secure in the hand with no wobble at all, The pistol grip is mounted very securely to the body of the weapon and also
features no wobble whatsoever.

The main benefit of the M249 SAW as a support weapon is its ability to take standard M4 magazines - it will accept
both high-caps and mid-caps much alike a support weapon such as an M27 IAR would, but it can also take its
signature "box" magazine fed directly into the side of the weapon. The ability to take STANAG magazines makes
this a perfect choice of weapon for supporting a squad in airsoft, as chances are the majority of players will have
a weapon that uses the STANAG platform - M4/16's, HK Rifles, L85's ETC, This means that a player in the squad
can throw your support gunner magazines should he require them in a fire fight.  

This weapon is ideal for use in Field skirmishes, as the general size and "heft" of this support weapon make it
impractical for use in a CQB environment. The weapon CAN, However be set up in a fortified position in a
woodland skirmish and could then be used to provide a very effective spray of covering fire to protect an objective
or a "flag" in game types with a certain scenario.
