Description:

This great looking weapon is the ARES SVD Airsoft Sniper Rifle in black; it's a spring sniper rifle with a folding stock that is upgradable to Co2 bolt. (Licensed by ASG)

The rifle has a Full Metal Body Construction, and fires with a Muzzle Velocity of up to 460FPS.

Most parts come in metal with the exception of the handguard, grip, cheekpiece and magazine. The metal parts include the adjustable rear sight, folding stock, Cocking Mechanism, trigger, receiver and barrel.

the barrel is a one Piece Aluminum CNC machined part of metal and with the inner barrel being a tight bore 6.03mm tube.

Some of the features of this upmarket SVD Dragunov are its great folding stock that makes it more easy to move around when not using it, and much more easy to find a gun bag that fits it without taking it apart like most other SVD'S on the market, staying on the stock you should not forget the adjustable cheek pad that's also a nice touch. And the end of the butt there is a nylon fibre butt plate. (The length of gun when folded is 850 cm & 1100 cm unfolded)

just above the back end of the heat guard you will find the range adjustable rear sight that you can line up with the front sight, at the end of the barrel there is a flash hider that finishes the gun off.

The safety is the same side of the gun as most other standard SVD's (to the right) you will also find the cocking lever on this side as well. Whilst we mention the cocking lever its worth noting that there is an aftermarket co2 bolt you can get for this gun to turn it into a co2 powered sniper rifle, we don't have it in stock at the time of writing, but if you give us a call we should be able to get it in for you.

The rifle also comes with 200 rounds Hi-Cap magazine, and a cleaning rod.

All in all the ARES SVD comes with a remarkably low price tag for this classic Soviet sniper rifle, which comes in ice cool black finishing and looks like a bit of art.

The SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle was designed by Evgeniy Fedorovich Dragunov in the Soviet Union late 50s and early 60s.

The SVD was among the world's first purpose-built military precision semi-automatic rifle marksman's rifle, Its widely used (along with several other variants) all over the former Eastern Bloc nations.

Soviet military leadership in 1950 decided that they needed a new precision platoon level, semi-automatic rifle and started a contest among Soviet arms designers to create such a rifle.

The winner of the competition was by a team overseen by Evgeniy Fedorovich Dragunov, and In 1963, the Dragunov Sniper Rifle was admitted into the armoury of the Russian army.
