DESCRIPTION: 

This is one of CYMA's newer AK's and is a replica of the AKM. The AKM was developed in the 1950's as a successor to
the immensely popular AK-47 - officially replaced in the 70's by the AK-74, the AKM remains in use throughout the
world to this day. It fires the classic AK 7.62 round, and cosmetically looks like a cross between an AK47 and 74.
The AKM is more accurate and more reliable than its predecessor, and features a number of small adjustments to the
original design that make it more suited to mass production (of course, it WAS mass produced) and as such is one of
the most commonly available rifles in the world.

As this is one of the latest models the CM.048 offers a phenomenally good build quality - the metal used is incredibly
good, and the wood doesn't feel cheap or too "artificial", anyone used to the AK platform would naturally be able to
adjust to using this rifle as there are no external changes regarding location of magazine release or safety when compared
to other AK rifles, this weapon truly does feel phenomenally good to shoulder and is extraordinarily well balanced for a
"mid price range" weapon - in terms of value for money the 0.48 range are at the top of the list, a truly great rifle for
a price that seems far too low when you hold this in your hands.

While this rifles comes with a 600 Round Mid-Cap, it will accept 99% of the Dboys magazines, ALL CYMA magazines,
and most other AK manufacturer magazines with no issues - AK's are typically not as commonly customised as M4's
but a simple way to change the appearance of your rifle is to change the magazine, this weapon with a 5.56 style
Bakelite magazine will instantly become a unique weapon that does not exist in the real world - after all, this is just a
sport and ultimately a game, so why should you be forced to stick to the style of magazine that is intended for the
weapon! The flash hider is removable and will first expose an AK style (possibly 22mm, if my memory is right) thread
allowing for you to attach flash hiders from other CYMA AK models, once this adapter is removed by unscrewing the
grub screw it will expose a standard 14mm CCW thread that is accepting of any conventional flash hider or suppressor.

These really are great weapons, my current main skirmish rifle is a CYMA Beta Project AK, and having owned a number
of other CYMA AK's in my time as an airsofter I can safely say with experience that they are great platforms to build up on,
one of the only modifications a CYMA benefits from is a new hop up rubber, once this simple (and cheap) modification is
done they are able to stand toe to toe with any rifle on the field, yes their fire rate is a little slow, but when they are as
reliable and hardy as you would expect from an AK, who cares!
All in all, a great platform to use for anyone just starting out in the world of "proper" skirmishing, a CYMA AK is a strong
choice for someone looking for an alternative to an M4 that still offers customisability and widespread spare parts.
