DESCRIPTION: 

This is a very realistic replica of the "Classic Look" AK47 assault rifle, the world's most commonly used and
most "popular" (Most produced) assault rifle. Chambered in the very powerful 7.62 round the AK has masses
of power and compliments this with world renowned reliability. Capable of operating through harsh conditions
that other assault rifles simply cannot handle with little maintenance and cleaning.

Classic Army have done a superb job in creating an AK that is very true to the real thing, the build quality of the
rifle is fantastic and feels (AND Looks) amazing in the hand. The imitation wood is manufactured so as to look
as close to the real thing as possible, and can even be swapped out for aftermarket grips should the user so
prefer. With a high torque motor installed as standard this rifle really managed to punch above its weight,
giving a steady 890-900 rounds per minute on a mini NIMH with standard wiring - This shows the weapon
has a great deal of potential for upgrades as the rate of fire is pretty much as high as you could want without
stressing the gearbox - this means that to fully upgrade the rifle all you need to do is install your preferred
Tight bore barrel and Hop-Up unit and you have a rifle to rival that of something in the £300-£400 range.

In airsoft AK's are becoming ever more popular as an alternate platform to the M4/M16 type weapons -
They are known for being more reliable due to the gearbox set up, and are incredibly easy to maintain and
upgrade even for a novice player. The benefit of the AK style weapon in airsoft is that it is much more "Lefty"
friendly than an M4/16 - the magazine release catch is located in the centre of the rifle meaning you do not
need to fumble around looking for a small button to press, thus allowing you to reload quicker and to keep the
weapon aimed at the targets when doing so.
By having the shot selector lever as the dust cover this also means that (as there is no ejecting brass) this
is quite easy for a left hander shooter to quickly change the fire mode - far easier than it is for them to use an
M4A1.

Speaking from personal preference, The AK Platform is a much more "friendly" platform than the M4 for people
looking for a easily customisable but relatively common weapon - The AK is a much wider bodied rifle than the
AR Series which gives it some added "heft" and gives it a much more solid feel in the hand, I personally prefer
the AK style sights than the AR carry handle style, as the adjustment is far easier to do when in combat.
I also prefer the AK style magazines, as there are tens of times more variants than there are M4 Mags, meaning
you can customise not only the look of the rifle itself, but can change the appearance by changing the magazines
- Most, if not all, airsoft AK's are cross compatible when it comes to magazines meaning if you find a style you
like it is easy to source more without the hassle of matching your manufacturer to magazine.
(E.g. an AK47 using modern "low angle" magazines can have an instantly unique look)
All in all, The AK Platform is, in my opinion, a much nicer platform to use for a long-term rifle. - Dom.B.
