DESCRIPTION: 

The M4 is a relatively modern rifle, with the current US Army version (the M4A1) being
introduced in 1994, It is a reliable and effective carbine that is IDEAL as a standard service
rifle as it is lightweight, accurate, and can be very quickly modified to suit any role on the
battlefield - The M4/16 platform can be used to make DMR's, Snipers, Rifles, Carbines.. etc.
The iconic shape of the M4 has become the symbol for the modern day assault rifle, it has
featured in almost every war game including the likes of Battlefield and Call Of Duty. It is
not only an immensely popular service weapon but also one of the bestselling sporting rifles
(The AR15 version) ever made. It is even popular in the UK as a sport rifle in the correct legal
configuration.  As you will probably already know, the M4 is regarded as being "too" common,
and too much of a safe choice for airsoft players. However, it remains one of the most popular
airsoft weapons produced with countless different variants being made by numerous different
companies - The internals are mostly standardised and parts are typically cross-compatible
between manufacturers, making it incredibly easy to make your own personal weapon based
on your own personal requirements (My own M4 is made from a mix of about 5 different
manufacturers and suits me perfectly, yes its boring but it's a GREAT rifle for anyone!)

Lancer tactical have made a truly amazing starter weapon here, coming pre-equipped with
a tight bore barrel and with a few subtle upgrades to the gearbox this is a solid performer out
the box that is set to be able to rival any higher end AEG for range and accuracy without the need
for any modifications! Lancer have focused on keeping this a low cost yet phenomenally good rifle,
as such they have taken the intelligent decision to make the externals from polymer - DO NOT
fall into the trap of thinking "oh, just a plastic gun, must be terrible" because it is not AT ALL a bad
weapon - the quality of polymer used on the externals is comparable to that used in the G&G
combat machine line, This is a very strong rifle yet is also relatively lightweight. However due to the
nature of Airsoft M4's should you feel you prefer a metal body, fitting this rifle with one is 100%
do-able!

This version of the Lancer M4 is the more modernised version, this comes with a Quad Rail system
in place of the ordinary M4 handguard,  and has the crane style stock with a shortened rear sight.
The frontal Quad rail allows you to equip lasers, lights, grips etc. as you see fit - Lancer include a
free vertigrip for this rifle that allows you to experiment with finding your most comfortable stance,
some players prefer to hold the magwell on the M4, personally I find a vertical grip as far back
on the rail as possible to be a comfortable shooting position, whereas others prefer it fully foreword.
The rear sight is removable to expose the large top rail - an M4 works perfectly with a red-dot
sight when set properly, as the fore sight will remain visible in a low sitting optic like a red-dot, it is
common to set the dot to display directly on the centre prong of the front sight - this allows you to
be sure you are aiming directly at the target, but also gives you that advantage of the quick
acquisition when using a red-dot over an iron sight.
