SPORTSLINE SKIRMISH GRADE WEAPON (USES STANAG MAGAZINES)
DESCRIPTION:
The ARX-160 was designed for the Italian armed forces as part of the "future solider" programme, launched
in 2008 it has since seen service in the afghan war where it was used by the Albanians. The weapon is
completely ambidextrous and the operator can ever choose which side the spent casings are ejected from,
This means that both left and right handed shooter can make use of the weapon without any issues such as
those found on an AR15-style rifle where the ejection port is fixed.
Umarex have created a fantastic replica of the ARX, and in doing so have created a brilliant primary weapon
for anyone looking to play either field OR CQB; the ARX features a fully adjustable telescoping and folding
stock meaning the rifle can be made to be very compact for CQB situations, but can also be extended for use
in field situations, couple this with the 14mm CCW thread giving you the option to extend the barrel to cover
a longer inner barrel; and this becomes a very versatile rifle!
Initially, this does not look like it is going to be particularly comfortable to hold and shoot with, but the ARX
is actually one of the most ergonomic rifles available; the pistol grip feels very comfortable and is at just the
right angle to the body to give the best feel when aiming, the front handguard is also extremely comfortable
and combined with the extending stock you really can adjust this rifle to be perfect just for you.
The construction of this rifle is something to note - there is no wobble anywhere on the weapon, and the body
does not feel weak or flex anywhere meaning this will certainly stand up to the trails of a skirmish with no
issues at all!
